HOW TO: DIY RETRO NAILS

Glam up your manicure using this simple technique…



While monochrome nails are all the rage right now, try changing yours up with a pop of gold or glitter – or both!
Follow our simple steps to achieve this cute retro mani

YOU WILL NEED:
> Nail polish – Try OPI Alpine Snow,
Golden Eye and Black Onyx, $24.50 each
> A top coat – Try NEW Maybelline New York Dr. Rescue Color Protect Top Coat, $8.49
> A base coat – Try NEW Maybelline New York Dr. Rescue Base Coat CC Nails, $8.49
> Cellotape

 

 

STEP 1
Apply your base coat

STEP 2STEP 1
Next, apply two coats of OPI Alpine Snow.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

STEP 3STEP 2
Once lacquer is completely dry, apply corners of cellotape to each nail, to imitate the shape of a V.

STEP 4
Apply two coats of OPI Golden Eye.

 

 

 

 

 

 

STEP 5STEP 3
When lacquer is semi dry, remove cellotape.

STEP 6
When lacquer is completely dry, apply cellotape corner to each nail, making sure to cover the OPI Golden Eve.

 

 

 

 

 

STEP 7STEP 4
Apply two coats of OPI Black Onyx to each nail.

STEP 8
Apply your top coat.
