The all-star line-up of NZ’s fashion elite didn’t disappoint this year. Here’s our recap of the best beauty in their Spring/Summer 15 line-up…

Mac Cosmetics

Turquoise eyeliner, multi-coloured glitter nails and clumpy mascara were just some of the looks that stole our attention at this year’s Marr Factory shows. Now a yearly event in the lead up to NZFW, it’s a chance for NZ’s top designers to showcase some striking beauty looks topped off with a sneak preview of the new season fashion.
It’s held at funky auckland bar, The Golden Dawn, where guests are treated to view a different designer collection each night of the week, with free flowing wine and beer thanks to Hallertau NZ.

Here’s a run down of the best beauty looks and how you can re-create them too…

KEY MAKEUP ARTIST: Kiekie Stanners, M.A.C Senior Artist
INSPIRATION: The Time Machine
KEY PRODUCTS: Face: M.A.C Face and Body Foundation, M.A.C Out For Fun Casual Colour pressed onto the cheeks for a natural flush.  Eyes: M.A.C Hi Def Cyan Acrylic Paint applied to inner half of eye and set with M.A.C Reflects Blue; M.A.C Dipdown Fluidline applied to outer corner of eye set with M.A.C Blue Brown Pigment; M.A.C Upward Lash Mascara.  Lips: M.A.C Myth Lipstick.

INSPIRATION: Music icon Nico from the Velvet Underground’s slept in eye makeup.
KEY PRODUCTS: Face: M.A.C Face and Body Foundation with M.A.C Pearl and Luna Cream Colour Base to highlight.  Eyes: M.A.C Painterly Paint Pot softly washed over the lid with M.A.C Blacktrack Fluidline worn chunky and smudged over the top; M.A.C Smolder Eye Pencil worn smudged and set with M.A.C Carbon Eyeshadow; M.A.C Upward Lash Mascara heavily applied to top and bottom lashes; bundles of #35 M.A.C Lashes applied top lashes and bottom lashes pinched together.

INSPIRATION: ‘Glitter glam with a touch of rock n roll’
KEY PRODUCTS: Face: M.A.C Strobe Cream, M.A.C Face & Body Foundation, M.A.C Pearl Cream Colour Base used to create a natural highlight. Eyes (Look one): M.A.C Silver Pigment applied as a base with M.A.C 3D Silver Glitter pressed over top of eyelid Eyes (Look two): M.A.C Dazzleshadow in I Like 2 Watch applied to the eye as a base, M.A.C 3D Brass Gold Glitter pressed over top;  Lashings of M.A.C In Extreme Dimension Mascara in 3D Black Lash for both looks. Lips: M.A.C Medium Nude Lip Mix pressed onto lips for a soft, natural tint;  M.A.C Clear Lipglass generously applied for a full glass finish.

INSPIRATION: The Zambesi Spring/Summer 16 woman is radiant and glowing with a really dark graphic quintessential eye.
KEY PRODUCTS: Face: M.A.C Face and Body Foundation, M.A.C Pearl Cream Colour Base mixed with M.A.C Lip Conditioner for a glossy highlight.  Eyes: M.A.C Groundwork Paint Pot over the eyelid, M.A.C Blackswan Pearlglide Liner wrapped around the eye and extended straight out.  M.A.C Carbon Eyeshadow pressed close to the lash line and M.A.C 3D black glitter pressed on centre of eyelid.  Lips: Hydrated with M.A.C Lip Conditioner worn with M.A.C Myth lipstick pressed on.
